A cum laude graduate of Duke University, Suzanne received her juris doctorate from Vanderbilt School of Law. A lawyer for thirty years, she began the practice of law in the State of Connecticut and then Boston, Massachusetts until settling in her husband's home state of Maine. Suzanne and her staff of experienced paralegals are well-versed in the myriad of issues that arise from the injury or death of a family member.

For the past decade, Suzanne has represented workers and their family members by filing claims arising from workplace asbestos exposure. She files claims against manufacturers of asbestos and also represents shipyard workers with their longshore claims. Her longshore practice includes injury as well as occupational disease claims as defined by the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act including illnesses resulting from asbestos exposure as well as hearing loss claims. Suzanne is a member of the Worker's Injury Law and Advocacy Group. Injury work is not limited to those injured at work, but also those in accident or by circumstance.

She is an appointed representative for claimants filing for social security disability benefits. She attends hearings on these claims in Portland, Augusta and Bangor, Maine. Suzanne is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives.

Suzanne also manages the probate, estate planning and elder law department for Injured Workers' Legal Center. She and her staff assist clients with the drafting of their Last Will and Testaments, Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney for disability planning. Services for their clients range from routine assistance with bill paying to acting as guardian and conservator for disabled and elderly individuals. Suzanne serves as a Federal Fiduciary for disabled members of our military service. Suzanne and her staff work with families for the probate administration following the death of a family member and are experienced with all phases of administration of an estate. Suzanne is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.

Suzanne and her staff Julie Colby and Kristen Start have worked together for more than two decades.  They enjoy their work because they are united with the shared belief in representing their clients with a compassionate and down to earth approach.  They understand and respect the commitment their clients have made in choosing them for legal representation and they strive to continue to earn that trust every day.
